Argenta Asset Management strengthens asset management and economic expertise centre with the arrival of Alexander Roose and Hans Bevers

AAM announces the appointment of Alexander Roose as Head of Equities and Hans Bevers as Chief Economist. With these additional strategic reinforcements, the firm is further committed to building a leading Belgian asset manager with a strong centre of knowledge and expertise.
Strong expertise in equity management
Alexander Roose brings over 25 years of experience in asset management. Throughout his career, he has worked as an analyst, fund manager of thematic, sustainable and global equity funds, and head of investment teams.
He spent more than fifteen years at Degroof Petercam Asset Management, where he helped build the organisation’s position as a leading sustainable asset manager in Europe. In his most recent role as CIO Fundamental Equity at DPAM, he remained responsible for the management of various equity funds.
He then spent almost 5 years at Decalia as Head of Equities, where he implemented significant changes to investment processes and strengthened the positioning of the funds. He contributed to further improving and ensuring the consistency of returns within the thematic equity strategies

Leading macroeconomic expertise
Hans Bevers is regarded as an established voice in macroeconomic analysis in Belgium. He obtained a master’s degree in economics from the University of Antwerp in 2004 and completed a master’s degree in philosophy at the same university in 2025.
He began his career at KBC Group, where he specialised in the Belgian and European economies. In 2011, he moved to Petercam as an economist, responsible for the economic outlook of the major emerging markets. Since 2016, he has been chief economist at Degroof Petercam, where he was responsible for developing macroeconomic scenarios.
Hans Bevers is also the author of the book ‘Achteraf is het makkelijk’ (2018), in which he analyses past economic crises and highlights the lessons to be learnt from them. A new book bringing together economics and philosophy is due to be published in the autumn of 2026.
