Argenta issues its first green senior non-preferred of 600 million euros for professional investors

Argenta issued a green senior non-preferred bond as part of the Green Bond Framework within its European Medium Term Note program. It is Argenta's first green issue aimed at professional investors.
Argenta’s Green Bond Framework is based on the Green Bond Principles (GBP) 2021 of the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) and aims to support Argenta's sustainability strategy in terms of the transition to a low-carbon economy. Through its Green Bond Framework, Argenta aims to contribute to the growth of the Green Bond market and appeal to investors' willingness to finance sustainable green buildings.
As healthy living is central to Argenta's strategy, Argenta has long encouraged its customers to go for energy-efficient living. As a result, we have built up a large portfolio of green loans.
With this issuance, Argenta ensures further growth in sustainable business activities because Argenta will use the proceeds of this green bond to finance or refinance green mortgage loans.
